About

Located near London on the Hampshire and Surrey border overlooking the private Farnborough Airport, Aviator opened in 2008 as one of the most striking design hotels in recent times. Set in over 7 acres of land, the building has a unique presence, a legible form that is simple and elegant to use. Aviator is now a landmark building in the Farnborough environs.

The hotel boasts 169 rooms, six meeting and events spaces, three restaurants and bars, a fitness studio, and a vast terrace and lawn.

Architecturally designed to replicate an aircraft propeller when viewed from above, the sleek exterior design was commissioned by Robin Partington of Hamiltons. Partington is a British architect who is known for leading the design of The Gherkin in London.

To complement the sleek exterior, Amanda Rosa Interiors was commissioned to carry out the interior design, known for her work across the luxury hospitality industry. The look and feel of the interior is a mix of contemporary finishes and mood lighting, creating personal ‘spaces’ throughout the hotel. In Rosa’s own words she says, ‘When we open a new hotel, I want it to feel as if it couldn’t have been designed any other way.’ Everything from the carpet to the light fittings are chosen to be seamless, timeless, and classic. Style that lasts, not fashion that fades.

15 years on and Aviator is an established hotel that offers a unique and memorable experience for its guests. Whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, the hotel’s exceptional facilities, stylish design, and convenient location make it an excellent choice for your stay.
